The International Criminal Court rejected Tel Aviv’s appeal
On Monday, the Appellate Division of the International Criminal Court rejected the request of the Zionist regime to issue a new warning based on Article 18 (1) of the Rome Statute in connection with the investigation on the Palestinian situation.
According to RCO News Agency, in September 2024, the Zionist regime asked the preliminary branch of the court to oblige the prosecution to issue a new warning in the context of this case; The purpose of this action was to suspend the investigation process or to prove that the Zionist regime had conducted an internal investigation, but the preliminary branch rejected this request in November 2024, and the Zionist regime then filed a complaint with the appeals branch.
The decision of the Appellate Division states: “In this case, it is appropriate to reject Israel’s appeal and confirm the contested decision.”
Based on this ruling, the International Criminal Court will continue its investigation in this case.
The Tribunal has been investigating crimes committed in Palestine since 2014 and, in accordance with its mandate, continues to collect information on new crimes. This organization had previously announced to “Ryanovsti” News agency that its mission is permanent and includes crimes committed since the escalation of conflicts on October 7, 2023.
