General al-Barhan’s trip to Riyadh – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Abdul Fattah al-Barhan, head of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, traveled to Riyadh on Monday.
This trip was made in response to the invitation of Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman, Deputy Emir of Riyadh Region and a number of other high-ranking Saudi officials welcomed Al Burhan at King Khalid International Airport.
This trip was carried out in the shadow of regional diplomatic activities regarding Sudan.
Earlier, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan discussed the situation in Sudan over the phone.
It should be noted that since April 2023, the forces of General Abdul Fattah Al-Barhan, the commander of the Sudanese army, have been engaged with the forces of Mohammad Hamdan Daghlo, the commander of the Rapid Reaction Forces known as Hamidti, and as a result of this war, a large number of people have been killed and about 13 million people have been displaced. This war has created the worst human crisis in the world.
