Trump: The attack in Australia was terrible
In the first reaction to the deadly shooting in Sydney, the US president described the incident as “terrible”.
According to RCO News Agency, “Donald Trump,” the president of the United States of America, said on Sunday evening: “The attack in Australia and the deadly shooting during the Jewish Hanukkah ceremony in Sydney were terrible.”
According to “Fox News” news media, the American president called this attack “anti-Semitic” and emphasized: “This attack was terrible. “In Australia, a very brave person attacked one of the shooters and saved many lives.”
Following the deadly shooting during the Jewish Hanukkah ceremony in Sydney’s Bunda Beach, American, European and West Asian officials condemned the attack and emphasized the need to deal with violence against civilians.
Referring to the recent attack in Syria, Donald Trump said in another part of his statement: “We will inflict severe damage on those who attacked our forces in Syria.”
He claimed: “The attack in Syria was the work of ISIS, not the Syrian government!” The Syrian government and the new president (Ahmad al-Shora, interim president of Syria) fought alongside us.”
Syrian security sources reported on Saturday evening that “a delegation of US-led international coalition forces was shot down near Palmyra in central Syria.”
The US Department of War (Pentagon) announced that in yesterday’s attack on US forces in Syria, two US soldiers and an American (civilian) translator were killed and three other soldiers were injured.
