Olmert: Israel commits war crimes daily in the West Bank – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Israeli settlers commit “war crimes” against Palestinians in the West Bank on a daily basis.

Speaking to a local Israeli radio station, Olmert added that he will not remain silent about this incident, because it is not Israel that he believes in.

He added: Israelis commit war crimes in the West Bank on a daily basis, and I will not remain silent about it.

Criticizing Zionist extremists who attack Palestinians and their farms, Olmert said that “terrible campaigns of killing and harassment” in the West Bank are being pursued every day by the “terror youth”, a large group supported by the cabinet.

Last July, Olmert called the Zionist army and the police of this regime responsible for the crimes of this extremist group and said that the police turn a blind eye to their crimes.

Palestinian, Israeli and international human rights reports indicate that the group known as “Hill Youth” is responsible for killing, destroying property and trees, and confiscating Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank. The group, which includes far-right settler youths, was founded in 1998 and believes in the need to establish a “Jewish state” after all Palestinians are expelled from their land.

According to official Palestinian information, at least 1,093 Palestinians have been killed by the army and Zionist settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and about 11,000 have been injured in the past two years. More than 21,000 people have been arrested during this period.
