China will defeat America in case of conflict over Taiwan
A classified US government report suggests that China would overwhelm the US military in the event of a war over Taiwan.
According to RCO News Agency, the classified “Absolute Superiority” report conducted by the US government details China’s ability to destroy US military power, including large ships and fighter jets.
The New York Times noted that the document shows that America’s reliance on more expensive weapons makes it vulnerable to cheaper and more advanced Chinese weapons.
It is said that an American official who saw this document during the presidency of “Joe Biden” was dismayed by China’s superiority over the United States in various sectors.
Eric Gomez, a researcher at the Taiwan Security Monitor Institute who participated in a military exercise for the Taiwan conflict, said that although the outcome is not clear, the United States will suffer heavy losses.
“The US is losing a lot of ships in the process,” he told The Telegraph.
According to Gomez, many F-35 fighters and other tactical aircraft also wear out quickly in the battlefield.
According to the US strategy document published last week, US President Donald Trump plans to prevent a conflict with China over Taiwan and the South China Sea by strengthening the military power of the country and its allies.
China, which claims Taiwan as its own, has never refrained from using force to control this autonomous island.
China also has extensive territorial claims, including over almost the entire South China Sea, which is disputed by many of its smaller neighbors.
According to the report, the United States has no formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, but is its most important international supporter and is legally obligated to provide Taiwan with means of self-defense.
The U.S. strategy document states that “preventing conflict over Taiwan, ideally while maintaining military superiority, is a priority.”
The document adds: “We will build a military capable of repelling aggression anywhere, but the US military cannot and should not have to do it alone.”
US President Donald Trump has largely refrained from directly expressing how he will respond to rising tensions over Taiwan.
However, during his 2021-2025 presidency, Biden repeatedly said that the United States would defend Taiwan if China attacked it.
