Zelensky: We do not have the power to reclaim the territories
Ukraine’s president admitted that his country does not have the power to retake Crimea or other Russian-controlled territories.
“Today, we do not have the power or the support of our allies to recapture Crimea and other territories controlled by Russia,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday evening.
“We really want to join NATO, but we know for sure that neither the United States nor several other countries currently see Ukraine in this alliance,” the Ukrainian president said about his long-standing desire for Ukraine to join NATO, according to a report by Rasha Today.
Zelensky also said about the peace plan: “Tomorrow, Ukraine plans to deliver a peace plan to the United States; “This project is currently being finalized with European partners.”
He also claimed: “If Russia is ready, Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire in the energy sector.”
These statements of the President of Ukraine were stated while the “Financial Times” newspaper, quoting informed sources, wrote that US President Donald Trump gave Volodymyr Zelensky only “a few days” to respond to the US peace proposal, which includes the exchange of territory with Russia.
