Trump’s former ally’s account of his anger about the release of a smuggler’s file – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, Marjorie Taylor Green, the Republican representative of the American Congress, announced in an interview with “CBS” that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, was extremely angry after he signed the release of the documents of the case of Jeffrey Epstein, a sex trafficker.
This former ally of the US president added: We talked with Trump about the Epstein cases and he was very angry that I signed the petition.
Green stated that his purpose of signing the release of the Epstein case documents was to defend the rights of the female victims and clarify the truth, and added: Trump was against their release and believed that the release of the case documents would harm the public.
Earlier, Trump had supported the release of these documents during his election campaign, but after entering the White House, he changed his position and asked the representatives of his party not to join this request. However, Greene and several other Republicans, including Thomas Massey of Kentucky, signed on, reversing Trump’s decision to allow the Epstein Documents Freedom Act.
Green’s stances and his push for the release of the files while Trump was against their release strained their relationship.
