The United Nations approved 5 resolutions in support of Palestine – Mehr News Agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, citing the Palestine Information Center, the resolution related to providing aid to Palestinian refugees was approved with the support of 151 countries. 10 countries opposed and 14 countries abstained.
According to this report, the second resolution regarding the activities of the Palestinian Refugee Relief and Work Agency (ANRA) and the extension of its mission for the next three years was approved by the positive vote of 145 countries; 10 countries opposed and 18 countries abstained.
Also, the third resolution about the property of Palestinian refugees and the incomes derived from it was approved with the support of 157 countries; 10 countries opposed and 9 countries abstained.
According to this report, the fourth resolution on the activities of the Special Committee of Inquiry regarding the actions of the Israeli regime against the human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arab residents in the occupied territories was approved by 88 countries; 19 countries opposed and 64 countries abstained.
This report adds that the fifth resolution regarding the settlements of the Israeli regime in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Quds and the occupied Syrian Golan, was approved with the support of 146 countries; 13 countries opposed and 17 countries abstained.
Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, appreciated the countries for their extensive support for Palestine and the growing sympathy of the international community, especially in the issue of Palestinian refugees.
He considered these supports important in the situation that the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank are facing “barbaric Israeli aggression”.
