Hungary: Europe is preparing for war with Russia
Hungary’s foreign minister says Europe is preparing for war with Russia and it is unclear whether the continent can be saved.
According to RCO News Agency, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sziarto said that Europe is currently preparing for war with Russia and the question in the coming period will be whether the continent can be saved from destruction or not.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that the statements of Western politicians and media show that Europe is preparing for war with Russia. According to Orban, statements by European politicians about their readiness for a possible war from 2030 show that Brussels is clearly developing military plans.
“Europe is currently preparing for war against Russia, and the issue in the next period will be whether it is possible to prevent the complete destruction of the entire continent,” MTI quoted Ciarto as saying at an event in Hungary. Since EU strategic documents state that full war readiness should be achieved by 2029, a war between Europe and Russia will be possible in 2030.”
The Hungarian Minister further called on the voters to participate in the 2026 Hungarian parliamentary elections and “not to allow us, our children and grandchildren to live in war conditions in Europe in the middle of the 21st century.”
According to RIA Novosti, Russian President Vladimir Putin explained in detail in an interview with Tucker Carlson, an American journalist, that Russia does not intend to attack NATO member countries; There is no point in doing this. Putin stated that Western politicians regularly scare their people with the imaginary threat of Russia to divert attention from domestic problems, but “intelligent people know very well that this is a lie.”
In recent years, Russia has warned of unprecedented NATO activity along its western borders. The alliance is expanding its initiatives, which it calls “deterring Russian aggression.” Moscow has repeatedly expressed its concern about the increase in the forces of this alliance in Europe. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow is still open to dialogue with NATO, but on the basis of equality, and that the West should abandon the policy of militarization of the continent. The Kremlin also noted that Russia poses no threat to anyone, but will not ignore actions that are potentially dangerous to its interests.
