Condemnation of the US action in announcing the closure of Venezuela’s airspace
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran condemned the US President’s action in announcing the closure of Venezuela’s airspace as a flagrant violation of the fundamental norms and rules of international law, including the rules governing international air transportation.
According to RCO News Agency, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Ismail Baqaei described the US action as a continuation of the country’s provocative and illegal actions against the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Venezuela, as an arbitrary action and an unprecedented threat to the safety and security of international aviation.
He warned about the dangerous consequences of this action on the rule of law, international peace and security.
