According to the Mehr news agency, citing the official news agency of Venezuela (AVN), Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced in a local meeting: Venezuelan people support the armed forces of this country and are ready to face military threats.

Referring to the military threats of America, he said: Whatever they do in any way and in any place, they will never be able to harm Venezuela. We are invincible and strengthening the country’s security continues with strength, and the strength of our people is the guarantor of our security.

This Venezuelan official announced the discovery of a new far-right conspiracy in this country last night and added: “They conspire every day, and the only recourse left for the criminal far-right affiliated to Maria Corina is sabotage, violence and crime.”

Maduro called the national unity the guarantor of Venezuela’s successful passage through these conditions and said: polls show that more than 90 percent of the people support the armed forces.

He considered the support of the extreme right wing of Venezuela to the US military attack as the cause of the people’s hatred of them and added: Military, diplomatic, political and media pressures in recent weeks have increased the unity of the people.

In recent months, the United States has increased its military presence in the Caribbean Sea and on the border with Venezuela under the pretext of fighting drug traffickers.

Under the pretext of fighting drug traffickers, Washington is targeting ships crossing the borders of Venezuela. The White House has not provided any details on whether the people targeted in more than 20 raids in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific were actually smugglers. Experts say that even if the target is smugglers, such attacks are considered “extrajudicial executions”.
