UNRWA announced: The establishment of 330 temporary classrooms in Gaza without basic facilities – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) announced that 330 temporary educational spaces have been created in 59 shelters in the Gaza Strip.
UNRWA emphasized that these spaces, without educational equipment and basic facilities, provide educational services for more than 44 thousand children.
On the other hand, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) announced the continuation of the policy of structural starvation in the Gaza Strip and the intensification of humanitarian crises due to the severe lack of financial resources.
UNRWA Media Adviser Adnan Abu Hasnah stated that the food crisis, in addition to widespread problems in the education, health and financing sectors, has simultaneously affected millions of Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
Stating that the pressures of the Zionist regime and the restrictions imposed on the activities of this organization have brought the situation to the verge of collapse, he emphasized: the law banning the activities of UNRWA and other restrictive measures has left a heavy budget deficit, which will reach about 200 million dollars by the end of the first quarter of next year.
According to Abu Hasna, this financial deficit has directly affected the organization’s ability to pay the salaries of more than 30,000 employees in different areas of operations.
