Government spokesman: We are looking to develop and strengthen relations with Russia – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, the government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani announced in an exclusive interview with Al-Mayadeen network that the Islamic Republic of Iran has received messages from mediators.
He warned that if the mistake is repeated by the other side, Iran’s response will be stronger and tougher than in the past.
Mohajerani clarified that Iran does not give credit to any party in defending its people’s lives, territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
He added that strengthening Iran’s missile power in the framework of defense capabilities is a natural thing, and Tehran is taking steps to eliminate the weaknesses that were revealed in the recent attack.
The government spokesperson also emphasized that Iran cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency within the framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and that Tehran’s interaction with this organization is based on national interests and the country’s current laws.
He said that after European countries activated the trigger mechanism, Iran announced that it will pursue its relations with these countries based on national interests.
He announced that there are signs of improving relations with some European countries, including Germany.
Mohajerani added that in a situation where we are facing hegemonic approaches, focusing on developing relations with neighboring countries, cooperating with international organizations and strengthening the country’s economy is a priority.
He emphasized that the parties involved in the Gaza ceasefire agreement are responsible for ensuring its implementation, and having resistance forces in a country that is next to a “fake regime” is essential.
The government spokesperson also mentioned the development of relations with Russia as a neighboring country and announced the cooperation of the two countries in the field of nuclear energy.
He stated that Iran has extensive relations with Russia and China, because these two countries are members of the BRICS group and are among the countries of the region.
