According to Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik, China’s foreign ministry summoned the Japanese ambassador to the country in response to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s statements about Taiwan and announced its strong protest to Tokyo.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong summoned Japanese Ambassador to China Kenji Kanasugi and expressed his formal objection to Japanese Prime Minister Sanai Takaichi’s false statements about China, China’s Xinhua News Agency reported on Friday.
It should be noted that Japanese Prime Minister Sanai Takaichi recently made worrying statements about the Taiwan issue and announced that Japan may intervene militarily in the Taiwan Strait.
These words provoked a strong reaction from prominent Japanese politicians and media, as well as a strong protest from China.
