In the meeting with his Kazakh counterpart, the Russian president said that he is in constant contact with the president of this country to address bilateral issues.
According to Isna, Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed Kazakh President Kasim Jomart Tokayev in the Kremlin on Tuesday evening and said: “Of course, we are in constant contact with you. “Russia and Kazakhstan will review the entire agenda of bilateral relations during the negotiations.”
“Today we will have the opportunity to sit down in an informal atmosphere and discuss all issues of special interest,” the Russian president told the Kazakh president, according to Sputnik News agency. And tomorrow, together with my colleagues, we will review the entire agenda of our bilateral relations and, of course, look to the future. “All in all, I think we will finish this year very well and formulate plans for the immediate future as well as for the long- and medium-term outlook.”
Putin also thanked Tokayev for the previously agreed visit to Russia, saying, “I am sincerely happy about this, and Russia and Kazakhstan are in constant contact.”
The President of Kazakhstan, for his part, stated that Kazakhstan and Russia “have no serious problems in bilateral relations”, and emphasized: “If a problem arises, which is normal, it will be solved by the efforts of the heads of states and, of course, governments.”
Kasimjumart Tokayev added that he was “happy” to meet Putin and thanked him for his warm welcome in Moscow.
He concluded: “Today, in an informal atmosphere, we can exchange ideas. I have some thoughts and observations that I would like to share with you as a senior fellow. “The relationship between Kazakhstan and Russia is a strategic cooperation and there are many areas in which both countries can cooperate.”
