According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Abdul Fattah al-Barhan, head of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council, emphasized the determination of the Sudanese army to ensure the security of all Sudan’s borders in his speech in a meeting with a group of military commanders.
He said that the Sudanese army is determined to defeat the rebel militias and whoever fights in the name of the people will not be defeated.
Al-Barhan emphasized that the coalition led by arrogant countries against Sudan and its army will be defeated and the people will win.
Last week, rapid reaction forces captured the town of Fasher, the last bastion of the Sudanese army in the Darfur region. There were reports of civilian killings by Rapid Support Forces, which led to the displacement of thousands of families to safer areas in North and West Darfur.
In this regard, Amnesty International declared that what is happening now in Sudan is so terrible that it is difficult to describe it in words. According to this report, the Sudan crisis is the biggest humanitarian crisis that the world is witnessing today.
The organization noted that tens of thousands of civilians have been killed in Sudan and more than 12 million people have been forced to flee, and more than 14 million Sudanese children need humanitarian aid to survive.
Since April 2023, Sudan has witnessed a bloody war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which has killed tens of thousands of people and displaced around 13 million people.
