According to Mehr news agency, citing Al Mayadeen, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that it has delivered a letter of protest to the Japanese Embassy in Moscow in opposition to holding Japanese military exercises near the Russian borders.
The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia states: The Japanese embassy was informed that the exercises near the borders of Russia are considered a security threat to the Far East of this country.
This ministry emphasized: We reserve the right to take security measures regarding the remaining Typhoon missiles at the American base in Japan.
Last September, America and Japan held a large-scale exercise called “Dragon Decisive 25”, which was described as the largest joint exercise between the two countries.
According to the report of the Ministry of Defense of Japan, the aforementioned military exercise continued from September 11 to 25, and more than 14,000 soldiers from Japan’s self-defense forces and nearly 5,000 American soldiers from various units of the army, navy, marines, and air force are participating in it.
