Hamas: We have no desire to participate in the governing arrangements of Gaza – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Hazem Qassem, the spokesman of Hamas movement in Gaza, announced that this movement has no desire to participate in the administrative arrangements related to the governance of Gaza, but wants to speed up the formation of a social support committee to take control of affairs in Gaza.
He emphasized that the government institutions of Gaza will continue to operate until the Social Support Committee takes control of the situation.
Hazem Qassem added: The second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement is a complex phase that requires national consensus.
He spoke about the steps taken in line with the national position and added: the current negotiations are a confirmation of the temporary nature of Israel’s presence in Gaza, which is also mentioned in the agreement. Hamas will pursue this matter with the mediators and the guarantor countries of the agreement, and at the same time it emphasizes its legitimate right to resist the occupiers in the Palestinian land in appropriate ways.
