According to RCO News Agency, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to an immediate cessation of hostilities and a ceasefire during the first round of talks in Doha.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides have also agreed to hold follow-up meetings to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire.
In its statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that this step will help reduce the tension on the border between the two brotherly countries.
Meanwhile, an Afghan government source told Al Jazeera that the second round of talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Doha will continue until Sunday.
