According to RCO News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote in his account on X-Social Network: The Lebanese Council at its meeting today, after reviewing the request of the Ministry of Interior and the municipalities to dissolve the “Lebanese-Rasalah Arts Association”, which called for a rally in al-Ruzhah area on September 9th. And the judiciary is clarified.
Salam wrote: The government’s statement said that after hearing different views at the cabinet meeting, the majority of the constitution was provided to promote the dissolution of the association.
The Lebanese prime minister said in a report that the Ministry of Interior and the municipalities described a collection of violations of the association, including violations of internal statute, violations of public property laws, especially blocking public roads, and abuse of licenses issued by the Beirut governor.
Hi wrote: This decision is aimed at balancing public order and respect for the freedom of formation of associations that the Lebanese constitution and international treaties emphasize.
The Lebanese prime minister, justifying the action of the Lebanese Cabinet, claimed that the government’s adherence to the freedom of the activities of associations does not contradict the administrative measures to maintain public order and interest.
At the end of his tweet, Salam wrote: Accordingly, the government decided to suspend the legal authorization of the Rasalat Association until the end of administrative and judicial investigations in the Ministry of Interior and the Supreme Court of Lebanon.
