The Turkish president’s office announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with US President Donald Trump about bilateral relations and the situation in Gaza, according to Mehr News Agency.

Erdogan said in a conversation that his country welcomed the peace plans, while also saying that the Zionist regime should halt its attacks on Gaza in order to succeed.

The Turkish presidential statement said Erdogan has insisted that the country will accelerate its diplomatic calls to make peace in the region.
