CNN’s disclosure about “Titanic”; Cover for American Series Operations! – Mehr News Agency Iranian and world news
Bob Ballard, head of the Titanic carcass exploration operation in year 6, told CNN that the operation was actually part of a secret mission of the US Navy!
In a conversation with CNN, Ballard pointed to the army’s use of his first effort in the 1980s to determine the location of the Titanic ship, saying that he asked the army to fund a remote control submarine with the ability to transfer live video images to a floating ship.
According to him, the US Navy eventually agreed to fund the Ballard proposal to develop a deep -sea imaging system called Argo.
He added: “The Titanic exploration operation was a cover for a super -confidential operation of the army, which I did as a Navy intelligence officer.”
Ballard added that his financial supporters, who were actually the US Navy and a larger scale, “did not want the Soviet Union to know about these activities.”
According to CNN, military officials were planning to dispatch the probe to investigate two US -sulted nuclear submarines, USSSSHR and USS Scorpion, and then use it in the future for “wider information collection goals in the Cold War”.
CNN wrote that Ballard helped the US Navy explores the two submarines, and the time he spent on the discovery of the Titanic remains was “a coverage scenario for the Navy’s series.”
The Titanic, one of the world’s largest passenger oceans, was drowned in Canada’s Newfoundland waters after colliding with an iceberg during his first adventure from Southampton, England. Out of about 1,800 passengers and crews, more than 1,600 disappeared, and the incident became one of the deadliest events in contemporary history. Thanks to the Titanic movie James Cameron, American filmmaker, the story of the drowning of the ship is now known worldwide.
