Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdul Asa said: The Hamas movement has agreed to most of the US envoy’s proposal to the Middle East to end the war in Gaza and is now important to Tel Aviv.
In a telephone conversation with his Dutch counterpart Kasper Waldam Camp, Abdul Asati described Hamas’s agreement with most of the Vitcaf proposal and described Tel Aviv’s agreement as important.
He added that Egypt will continue to strive to reach an agreement that guarantees the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza and the entry without restriction of humanitarian aid and the release of a number of Palestinian prisoners.
It is noteworthy that the Hamas movement yesterday announced its agreement with the recent proposal to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and the exchange of captives with Israel. No further details have been announced about the content of the proposal or the next steps. Hamas and other Palestinian groups agree to the proposal made by Egypt and Qatar.
