Troica Letter to the United Nations on Activating the Mechanism of the Trigger Against Iran – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
The Financial Times of England and Lumond France claim that Paris, London and Berlin had announced in a letter to the United Nations that they would return international sanctions against Tehran if Iran had not returned to negotiations on its nuclear program, Mehr News Agency quoted Reuters as saying.
According to a letter shared by the French Foreign Ministry, the foreign ministers of the three countries, called the European Troica, have increased the possibility of activating the trigger mechanism against Iran.
“We have clearly stated that if Iran did not, before the end of August, would not be willing to obtain a diplomatic solution or take advantage of the opportunity to extend, Troika is ready to activate the trigger mechanism.”
Another part of the letter claimed that Troika has offered Iran to be limited to the activation of the trigger mechanism in exchange for direct talks with the United States, but Tehran has not yet responded.
The three European countries, France, Britain and Germany, along with China and Versa, are the remaining parties to the nuclear deal with Iran, which the United States left unilaterally and illegally in the year.
Earlier, Majid Takht Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said in an exclusive interview with Japan’s Kiodo News Agency that Tehran would agree to restrict its nuclear program on the condition of Washington’s unilateral sanctions. Also, according to the throne, this restriction will be clear for a period of time. He has also expressed tendency to reduce uranium enrichment.
The Iranian diplomat, without determining the decline in uranium enrichment levels, stressed that “it is impossible to stop enrichment.”
