The Iraqi Supreme Judiciary Council announced that it has arrested a terrorist network that intended to target pilgrims attending Imam Hussein’s Arbaeen hiking ceremony, according to the Mehr News Agency.
According to the Iraqi judiciary, the designs of the terrorist network included the construction and use of hand -made bombs along the path of pilgrims to the southern axis and the pouring of deadly pesticides in food containers offered to pilgrims.
The report also emphasized that investigations showed that the ISIS terrorist group used specific methods to attract its elements and wash them brainwashing.
According to the report, this is done through books with misleading content.
The province of Karbala also announced last Thursday that it had arrested a terrorist core consisting of four terrorists trying to carry out operations during the pilgrimage to Arbaeen and target one of the Husseiniyas on the path of Karbala -Najaf pilgrims.
