Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a speech today: Russia continues to adhere to the idea that political and diplomatic resolution is preferable to Ukraine.

“The nuclear war will not win,” a spokesman for the Kremlin added. Moscow is cautious about any comment on nuclear issues and believes that everyone should be cautious about it.

He added: “No preliminary work has been done to meet Putin and Zelnski yet.” Putin does not eliminate the possibility of meeting Zelnski after doing the necessary work at the undergraduate level. US efforts to mediate in Ukraine, including direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, are important.

“The conversation between Moscow and Washington is ongoing,” said Dmitry Peskov.
