Yemen issued the death sentence for the former president – Mehr News Agency | News of Iran and the World
Mehr News Agency quoted Russia Elium, the Yemeni Central Military Court, affiliated with the Ansarullah movement, on Thursday issued a death sentence for former President Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The ruling was issued on charges of espionage for the enemy and betraying the country alongside corruption. His property was also supposed to be confiscated.
The Yemeni court insisted that he should restore the property under embezzlement.
Ahmed previously commanded the Presidential Guard forces before the fall of his father’s regime during the popular protests of the year.
