The Washington Times has announced that the homepage of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has been targeted by a cyber attack, according to the Russian Sputnik News Agency.

According to the sources, cyber attackers have been able to find information related to sensitive technologies and intellectual property related to several CIA innovative espionage programs.

The US National Bureau of Identification (NRO), which is responsible for the site’s technical management, has confirmed the attack.

The cyber attack aims to achieve the “intellectual property” of the CIA, and experts say it may have serious consequences for US intelligence security.
