In the biggest protest during the current war in Ukraine, people in several cities, including Kiev, Danipro and Levy, expressed their opposition to the Independence of the National Bureau of Corruption and the Ukrainian Corruption Office, according to the Mehr News Agency.
According to Interfax, at least one thousand people gathered in the main squares of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The protesters showed their opposition by chanting slogans such as “not to state corruption”, “shame” and “law”.
The Ukrainian parliament (Rada) today supported the law called “1”, with its extensions deprived the independence of two anti -corruption institutions in the country. The decision was supported by four members of the Ukrainian parliament. The law has already been submitted to the Presidential Office for approval.
Officials from the two institutions have called on Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnski not to sign the law.
