Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelksky has said the negotiating delegation had invited Russia to hold the next round of talks next week, according to the Mehr News Agency.

According to Zelkski, Rostam Amrov, secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council and the head of the delegation, has made the proposal to the Russian side.

Zelksky also said in a video message that negotiations should be accelerated.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response to a question that Moscow is waiting for Kiev’s proposals for the third round of talks.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova had earlier said the Russian negotiating delegation was ready to travel to Istanbul for the third round of talks with Ukraine. Zakharova expressed hope that Kiev would act in accordance with the agreements and continue the negotiations.
