French Foreign Minister Jean -Noel Barrow has announced that his country intends to recognize the Palestinian government, according to Mehr News Agency.
Baro announced on a television program on the French RTL network that Paris and Riyadh will present the necessary commitments to dismantle the Palestinian government’s recognition during a UN meeting on Palestine, which is due to take place in New York.
The French Foreign Minister said that the recognition of Palestine by France would not be symbolic, and that France, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, will see a special responsibility in this regard.
Barrow continued that recognizing the Palestinian government would change some issues and become more credible.
Barrow did not refer to a specific time to announce the recognition of Palestine; But at the same time, he said, Paris is conditions for this.
French President Emmanuel Macron also announced the possibility of France’s action to recognize the Palestinian government yesterday at a joint press conference with Louis Inacio Dacilva.
