Ghalibaf: Sanctions have failed to surrender Iran and Venezuela

According to RCO News Agency, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf during a trip to Venezuela cited the strong cooperation of Iran and Venezuela, highlighting the role of both countries in world energy markets and their joint struggle against US -European coercion.

Ghalibaf emphasized that the alliance between Tehran and Caracas is based on the shared values ​​of independence, justice and freedom.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly emphasized the importance of the private sector in the development of cooperation and stated that interactions between Iranian and Venezuelan businesses are increasing.

The head of the Islamic Council said Iran and Venezuela are important members of OPEC and one of the world’s major energy producers despite US sanctions.

“These measures have not been able to obey our governments and bring us to their knees,” Ghalibaf said.

“We are a major oil exporter, but we also need the development of our nuclear industries,” said Ghalibaf, in response to Western criticism of Iran’s nuclear activities.

He emphasized Iran’s right to enrich uranium under international supervision and the importance of transparency and cooperation with international regulatory agencies to ensure the exclusive nature of Iran’s nuclear program.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly emphasized Iran’s commitment to the “Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons” (NPT) and said that nuclear weapons had no place in Iran’s defense doctrine.

He warned of any attempt to raise Iran’s nuclear program through sanctions or military threats, saying that such actions would result in the opposite and would only exacerbate tensions in the area.

Ghalibaf called for a return to diplomacy and dialogue based on bilateral respect and understanding.
