Switzerland joined the 17th package of sanctions against Russia imposed by the European Union and expanded its list of restrictions.
The Swiss Economic Affairs Secretariat issued a statement on Tuesday evening, announcing its joining EU sanctions against Russia, according to ISNA.
“On June 1, the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced that sanctions against Russia will enter into force on June 6 at 9:50 pm,” the statement said.
According to the statement, a total of 2 people and 2 organizations, as well as 2 ships and 2 companies were added to the updated blacklist.
A few days ago, the European Union approved its 17th sanctions on Russia, targeting nearly five shadow fleet ships.
