Five Belgian writers and journalists have issued a joint statement calling on the Belgian government to immediately apply serious diplomatic pressure on the Zionist regime to stop the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, Mehr News Agency reported.

According to the report, the signatories emphasized that there is no moral justification for the killing of thousands of innocent women and children in the Zionist attacks on Gaza. The statement also warns that public statements by some Zionist cabinet ministers reflect the obvious intentions for genocide.

The signatories also condemned the targeting of reporters in Gaza and said: Those who target reporters are actually seeking to secure the truth and prevent human rights abuses.
