Ukraine’s proposals to Russia in the future negotiations in Istanbul
The English media has seen the text of the peace offers that the Ukrainian is set to offer in negotiations with Russia in Istanbul.
“The Russian and Ukrainian delegations will meet in Istanbul on Monday, June 2 (June 6),” a source at the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Sunday evening.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has earlier proposed a history to negotiate with Ukraine, saying, “I think the parties can meet on June 2 (June 12) and Russia expects everyone to support the second round of Moscow -Kiev’s direct talks on June 2 in Istanbul.”
Reuters News agency has unveiled the Ukrainian side’s list of proposals on the eve of the meeting, which seems to have been completely published and unchanged.
Part of the text reads: “The key principles of this agreement are complete and unconditional ceasefire in the sky, land and sea as a foreground and prerequisite for peace talks, security guarantees and international and Ukrainian interaction as well as strong security guarantees.”
One of the controversial issues that Ukraine has formerly raised was Ukrainian lands, and Reuters reported on the text: “Russia’s territorial achievements from February 6 should not be recognized by the international community. The call line is the starting point of the negotiations. “Land issues are discussed only after a complete and unconditional ceasefire.”
Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnski said Sunday evening: Ukrainian Defense Minister Rostam Omorov will again chair the country in the second round of talks with Russia in Istanbul.
