Russian Defense Ministry statement on Ukrainian drone attacks
The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukraine has carried out attacks against the airports of Murmansk, Icutsk, Ivanovo, Riazan and Amur using suicide bombers.
According to RCO News Agency, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement Sunday evening: “In Murmansk and Icutsk areas, several planes were set on fire as a result of drone attacks from an area near airports.”
“Of course, the fire was contained and there were no casualties among the military or civilian personnel,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The Russian Defense Ministry noted that several people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the “terrorist attacks”.
“Most Ukrainian suicide bombers attacked military airports in Ivanovo, Riazan and Amur, but they were also repelled by Russia,” the ministry said.
