New York Times: Russia has opened a new front in northern Ukraine
US media says Russia has developed a dual strategy in Ukraine and opened a new front in the north.
According to RCO News Agency, US media claimed Thursday that Russia on the eve of peace talks had begun a dual strategy, including intensifying attacks on the front line and bombing Ukrainian cities, and has further diminished the perspective of the end of the war.
According to the New York Times, Russian forces are now progressing on Ukrainian territory after months of gradual progress this year.
According to the American newspaper, Ukraine’s cities are under the most severe drone and missile attacks, and Russia has been able to create a new front in the third area of Kharkif in northern Ukraine.
Russian forces are moving towards the latest Ukrainian -controlled areas in the East Donbas region.
Analysts say Russia has increased military reserves, upgrading field communication systems, and optimizing its offensive tactics and technical capabilities, and now it seems to have officially launched its summer invasion.
Today, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces have seized the Striffka area in Kharkif.
The developments come as Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Ukraine has not yet responded to the proposal of Istanbul talks in early June.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called for his country’s army to create a “barrier area” behind the Russian border.
Ukrainian officials have said a few weeks ago that Russian troops are working hard to advance in the third area, which is less than 5 kilometers from the Russian border.
