A senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed that the movement had accepted the proposal of US Special Environment in the Middle East, according to Mehr News Agency.

Bassem Naeem wrote in his Facebook account: “The main sections of Witakaf’s proposal, stopping war, the retreat of enemy occupation militias, and the establishment of a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and we are now waiting for the Zionist regime to respond to it.”

Another senior member of the Palestinian group yesterday in a conversation with al-Miyaddin revealed that the Hamas movement and the Zionist regime are investigating a document that was presented in collaboration with Steve Witekaf and was transferred by Palestinian-American mediator “Bashara Bahara”.

He explained that in the document presented, a six -day ceasefire with the release of four Israeli live captives was proposed on two occasions, while Hamas proposed a six -day ceasefire with the release of four captives, five alive captives and five killed, but the US side agreed to five days.
