Britain added dozens of individuals and institutions to the Russian sanctions list
The British Treasury Department announced today (Tuesday) that the country has increased its list of sanctions against Russia, adding to the list of two and three companies.
“In total, five individuals and companies have been added to the list of sanctions against Russia and now include blocking assets and sanctions,” the British Treasury Department said in a statement.
The updated list, including the St. Petersburg currency exchange and the Insurance Agency, will be deposited, according to Ryanovast News Agency.
Britain has also boycotted Russian oil transfer.
The British Foreign Ministry also said in a separate statement: “Today’s action is targeting three financial institutions that help Russian efforts to circumvent sanctions, as well as the St. Petersburg and Russian Deposit Insurance Exchange, which insures Russian banks.”
The statement also said: “These new sanctions will further areolate the Russian economy and disrupt Russian income trends.”
