The US president announced that it will call the presidents of Russian and Ukraine on Monday, as well as NATO officials to end the “blood bath in Ukraine” and a ceasefire to stop the war.
According to RCO News Agency, US President Donald Trump today (Saturday) released a message on his social network, Truth Sushal, saying he plans to call the Russian and Ukrainian presidents on Monday, as well as NATO officials to provide a basis for the end of the Ukrainian war.
Trump wrote in the message that his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place at 9am local time, focusing on “stopping blood baths” in the Ukrainian war and business issues.
“In this war, on average, more than 5 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers die each week,” he said.
The US president further added that after contacting Putin, he will also talk to Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnski and will continue to consult with NATO members.
At the end of the message, Trump expressed hope that the calls would lead to a ceasefire, and he said, “this very violent war that should never have begun” would end.
