A source at the Turkish Foreign Ministry said: Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul ended.
According to RCO News Agency, a source at the Turkish Foreign Ministry told Sputnik that the meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul ended less than two hours.
The Ukrainian diplomat told AFP: “Moscow asked us to give up more lands.”
A Ukrainian official told AFP (AFP) that “the members of the Russian delegation in Istanbul have made unacceptable demands that were beyond what was discussed before the Russian and Ukrainian summit. Including “the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from large areas of Ukrainian territory to reach a ceasefire agreement.”
The source believes that these demands are aimed at disrupting the negotiations.
In the first half of today- Friday- a trilateral meeting was held between the US, Ukraine and Türkiye delegations.
Following a meeting between the United States, Ukraine and Türkiye, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with British, French and German national security advisers.
US President Donald Trump has repeatedly announced that he will meet Putin as soon as possible.
