Request Rubio from India and Pakistan
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday in a telephone interview with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif demanded the restraint of Islamabad and Delhi.
According to RCO News Agency, Rubio emphasized the need for close cooperation with India and Pakistan for tension.
Tensions between India and Pakistan rose after the April 6 attack near the tourist city of Pahlagam in the Indian -controlled part of Kashmir, where a group of militants killed four people. A rebellious group claimed responsibility for the attack, but India blames Pakistan, and Pakistan rejected the allegation.
Following these tensions, in the early hours of Wednesday, the Indian Ministry of Defense announced the start of Operation Sandor, claiming that it was aimed at “terrorist infrastructure” in Pakistan. Delhi then claimed that “terrorists” were killed and insisted that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted.
However, the Pakistani army reportedly questioned the targets of Indian attacks, reporting that as a result of the attacks, four people were killed and four others were injured. The Pakistani army has also introduced the areas that were targeted by civilian sites and reserved the right to respond.
