Qassam announced a new operation against Zionist troops in Gaza, according to Mehr News Agency.

Qassam said in a statement: During a combination on Saturday, Qassam fighters were able to deceive a Zionist military engineering unit and pull them to a tunnel that had been bombed in advance. The operation began with direct clashes with members of the unit.

Qassam said: “Our fighters have taken away some of them from a very close distance, and as a number of soldiers advanced to the tunnel crater, it detonated it, leading to the death and wounding of Israeli forces.”

Hamas’s statement said: The fighters then advanced and targeted two Zionist tanks with Yasin -2 rockets.

Qassam also stated that a group of four of the occupation military had targeted and killed a number of them and injured others.
