Moscow: Ukraine violated a temporary ceasefire
The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukraine has violated the temporary ceasefire for more than a thousand times.
Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a new order on a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine on Easter on Saturday; A decree that reflects Russian peaceful actions, but apparently, according to Moscow, has ignored it.
“Ukrainian forces targeted Russian positions five times and carried out numerous drone attacks,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Sunday.
Referring to Ukraine’s provisional ceasefire violation, the ministry added: “Ukraine’s violations and attacks by forces have left a number of injured and killed as well as damage to civilian infrastructure.”
The Russian Defense Ministry’s report reports that Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelksky claimed yesterday after his Russian counterpart declared it.
“If Russia is willing to make a real ceasefire, Ukraine will also act accordingly,” he said. “Also, if a complete ceasefire occurs, Ukraine also proposes to extend it after Easter.”
