Nabenzia: Most European countries are not looking for Ukraine peace
The Russian ambassador to the United Nations said Moscow wants Europeans to stop Ukraine weapons, but instead most of them continue to fight because they do not want peace.
“We want to see the Europeans from weapons and encouragement to continue the conflict and persuade Kiev to accept the conditions that lead to this crisis,” ISNA reported.
“So far we have not seen such a tendency from European countries, no country at the EU and the European Union has so willing,” he said. Most of them are warlords. “They do not want peace they want to continue the Ukrainian conflict.”
The Russian official said, referring to US President Donald Trump, who said the ceasefire was getting closer in Ukraine and the Washington government would soon provide News about developments.
“I can’t talk about Trump,” the Russian ambassador to the United Nations said. He knows better. “How close we are to the ceasefire is a big question for me, because as I said, we had an attempt to limited the ceasefire, in energy infrastructure that was not respected by the Ukrainian side, so it is unrealistic to talk about the ceasefire.”
Earlier on Thursday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Paris to talk to European leaders about Ukraine and its future security. US President Steve Witekaf also joined Rubio.
