Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al -Thani in Qatar on Thursday, according to the Mehr News Agency.

The heads of the two countries will discuss important issues related to bilateral cooperation focusing on commercial, economic and humanitarian relations as well as some key issues on the agenda, according to the Kremlin Press Service.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the agenda of the meeting included the Ukrainian crisis and the West Asian situation.

He noted that Moscow appreciates “trust -based dialogues (with Doha) on numerous topics, including the most sensitive, as well as the current level and potential of commercial and economic cooperation.
