California sued Trump
As the first state of the US President, Calfrenia sued for more tariffs on imported goods.
California’s governor Gwenn News, following his complaint in the federal court, which targets US President Donald Trump’s use of the International Economic Emergency Emergency Authority (IEPA) to impose tariffs without congressional approval.
“California is the largest producer in our country and one of the largest business partners in the world,” he said. No state will be affected more than California, as it is related to the unilateral authority that has been proposed by the Trump administration to apply the biggest tax increase in modern American history.
California, the fifth largest economy in the world, has earlier announced that it will lose billions of dollars in the aftermath of Trump’s new tariffs, from silicon to agricultural products, according to Anatolia.
The petition came as US jobs this week posted a similar legal challenge over new import tariffs against the Trump administration.
