White House refusal to comment on Trump’s possible trip to Ukraine
White House spokesman Caroline Liwit said on Tuesday that he had no information to share with US President Donald Trump’s possible trip to Ukraine.
“I don’t know exactly,” Liwit said. “I haven’t spoken to the president about this or that Zelksky’s proposal is aware of it.”
“I am sure that the president is aware of his proposal, but I haven’t talked to him about it,” he continued. “I can seek his opinion on this issue later.”
A White House spokesman said at the end, “I definitely do not intend to share any possible plans to travel to Ukraine.”
Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelksky called on his American counterpart Donald Trump to travel to his country and see the devastation of the war.
“Please come before any decision and any negotiation to see people, civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches and children who have been killed and destroyed,” Zelksky said in an interview with CBS.
Zelnsky stated that Trump travels to Ukraine “you will find out what Vladimir Putin has done.”
