Macron and Barzani’s consultations about the situation in the area

According to RCO News Agency, Nichirvan Barzani, the head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, was officially welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Paris Palace, and the parties discussed bilateral relations and the latest events in the West Asian region. They also discussed the expansion of joint cooperation.

In another part of the meeting, Barzani thanked this high -ranking European official, referring to France and Macron’s continued support for Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan.

Following the meeting, Barzani and Macron emphasized the importance of strengthening the parties’ relations in all areas, as well as the importance of maintaining Iraq’s peace and stability and removing it from the unrest in the region.

In another part of the meeting, the parties discussed the latest events in the sensitive region, the Syrian situation, the dangers of terrorism and the continuation of ISIS threats. Defending the importance of guaranteeing the rights of various Kurds and minorities in Syria, the parties emphasized the peaceful resolution of disputes and problems through understanding and dialogue in the region.
