Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein welcomed Iran -US negotiations that Iraq plays a central role in calming tension centers in the region by pursuing balanced foreign policy based on dialogue and understanding.

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein emphasized that Syria’s stability is a key factor in the stability of the entire region, adding that foreign interference, especially repeated attacks by the Zionist regime on Syrian territory, have made the situation more complicated and increased tensions.

Regarding the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Gaza Strip, the Iraqi Foreign Minister strongly condemned the attacks and blamed it as a blatant violation of international law and emphasized Iraq’s support for the Palestinian people’s rights.

In Lebanon, Fouad Hussein also called for a reinforcement of internal dialogue between various Lebanese sides and emphasized the need to resolve regional crises through dialogue, not by military.

Fouad Hussein also referred to the development of bilateral relations, especially in the security and economic areas, and said: “We are trying to strengthen cooperation to meet shared challenges, including combating terrorism and controlling borders.”

Fouad Hussein also described Ankara as an important partner in efforts to stabilize the region.

“We hope that the talks will continue and lead to an initial agreement that will eliminate the shadow of the war; Because it will replace it for the region and the world. The Iranian and American sides have announced their readiness to continue the talks, and we see this as a positive step.

He also emphasized the importance of neighboring countries‘ cooperation in the fight against terrorism and warned that chaos and lack of stability would pave the way for the expansion of extremist groups, as it happened with the emergence of ISIS in Syria.
